creepy pasta: my dog. ch 4: minding the monster

it was dark, the inside of my room was always like that at night. I remember being scared of the dark when I was younger, and I still am. but it was no longer the dark me and my friends were scared of. we could here scratching noises on the walls and screams coming from outside. that THING was still out there, we were scared, but we defenently not defenseless. I got my grand daddy's old shot gun from the attic from whenever he and dad went hunting. I was nervous and the shot gun was shaking in my hands because of it, suddenly, we heard the door bell ring, and the scratching and screaming had stopped. we all looked nervously at the door and then each other. "you go get it" Mix whispered to me. "nuh uh! you go get it!" I said. but, I looked at the door, then at my friends, I took a deep breath, then slowly walked towards the door. I was shivering the whole time at what we might find at the door step, praying that it wasn't that THING. I slowly opened the door, and was about to panic when, I saw it was just my friend Dolores. "few" we all said seeing it was just her. "yo Dori, what'cha doin here?" I asked. she said she just stopped by because she heard our parents were out of town of town on vacation, and that she wanted to ask if she could join us. we could never say no to Dori, considering she was one of my best friends, and with that thing hanging around outside. I quickly pulled her inside and told her what had happened. after we told her that full story, she looked at us like we were crazy, then she laughed. "oh, I get it! you guys are trying to scare me because of the storm outside!" she said. we all asked, "what stor-" *BOOM!* *lightning flashed* me: O_O. Mix:.... Love: *hugs me scared*. Jack: *gasp*. me: oh, that one....wait, no! were not pranking you! there is a ten feet tall, eyeless, huge, creepy, dog eating machine outside! Dolores: guys, I get it, your just upset because you know you cant scare me anymore. we were about to speak up when suddenly, IT: *jumps on the huge window in front of us and screams* everyone: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! next thing we new, we all ran towards the the bed room, we had never been so scared in my life, not sense I used the bathroom after my DAD. yeah, I know, that was just child cruelty. when we finally got up too my bedroom, (again) we locked the door and the window. we couldn't believe what was happening, it was like a nightmare that we couldn't wake up from, ever. we could he it screaming outside, thrashing at the entire house. finally, it stopped, for like 8 seconds, then we heard the downstairs window break, and that was it, that thing had found its way in, and now it was coming for us. we panicked, we could here it downstairs breaking stuff and screaming. it would only be a matter of minutes before it would find us. that's when I had an idea, me: fallow me to the attic, and be quite guys.  we silently walked out of my room and tip toad to the upstairs attic, it was dark in the house, everything was quite, to quite. we just go to the attic, everyone had made it in, I was the last to go in, me: *whispers* we have to climb to the roof. if we can make it out of the house, then we can go looking for help. Love: great idea! Jack: so were going to go looking, in the rain, outside, at night, for help?
me: don't worry, I have the keys to the car, so we could drive somewhere. Dolores: where are we going to go? Mcdonalds? me: *glares* Dolores:...... I tied a piece of rope around the handle on the window and let the rest of it fall to the ground. me: out we go. everyone managed to climb down the rope, I went last, but before I could get all the way out the window, I tripped over an old glass lamp, and it made the LOUDEST crashing sound. me: SHIT!. that's when I heard the monster coming upstairs screaming FAST. I managed to get outside the window, but before I could climb down, that thing was already their, and it tried to grab me, that when I let go and fell onto the front lawn. I managed to get up unhurt but that thing was still in the house. I grabbed the spare garage door opener from under the mat and opened the garage door. I made sure everyone got into the car and then started it up. just as it was starting up, that thing jumped on top of the car and screamed. when the car finally started up, I pushed my foot down HARD onto the gas pedal and we drove of. we were able to shake that thing off the car in the process. now all we needed to do was come up with a plan to get rid of that thing....
